“Life’s unfairness is not irrevocable; we can help balance the scales for others, if not always for ourselves.”  Hubert Humphrey

NFDF Founder's message:

As an individual with Fabry disease, the quote above from Hubert Humphrey is especially meaningful to me. Each of us can help to improve the lives of others by telling our stories, by participating in information gathering efforts, by completing thorough family trees, by participating in the Fabry Registry via participating healthcare professionals, by participating in clinical trials or by contributing to the greater good of the Fabry community in other ways. Improved understanding and management of Fabry disease cannot reverse much of the damage already imposed on many of us, but we all can help to prevent it from happening to those that come after us. We can take action for the benefit of many others if not always for the greatest benefit to ourselves.

Thank you, Jerry Walter
